Tim Heywood

Tim’s interest in all fields of Industrial Design is reflected in his yacht designs, from the sweeping curves of ‘Pelorus’ to the crisp angles of ‘Madam Kate’, his varied work reflects the tastes of his many clients. After twenty years with Jon Bannenberg, Tim opened his studio in 1996, with the support of his partner Vanessa Reville. He has won many awards for his designs, with many of his more private yacht projects never entering competitions, reflecting the confidential nature of all of his work. In 2015 he was awarded the prestigious 'Leadership Award' by the International Superyacht Society for his work in the industry. His projects range in size from the 8m tender for ‘Event’ to the 147m yacht ‘Topaz’. His ever popular designs are exemplified by his work with the Amels shipyard, who have built over 30 of his yachts since 2005, ranging from 52m to 84m. Tim now concentrates on the exterior design and interior layout of each of his yachts and is currently working with nine interior design companies.
