Luca Dini, famous Florentine designer, can be rightly proud of his more than 25 years of activity around the world, being him specialized during these years in designing yacht interiors and external lines: his well-known brand left a visible mark in the yacht world, in Italy and especially abroad. Since 1987 he was a fundamental element in a very prestigious Italian Architectural Studio in Firenze with main interest in naval design. Luca Dini Design, as an independent studio, was born in Florence in 1996 and has grown up to the point that a new branch in Viareggio was opened some years later, to take care also of architectural projects and buildings, private residences and villas interiors, objects and decor and in the very last years even of car design, interiors and graphics of airplanes. Today, still based in his beloved hometown Florence, Luca Dini travels in Italy and the whole world. Even if his experience has grown considerably, his approach to work and projects is unchanged. He still remains enthusiastic, sincere, authentic, confidently professional, facing every project as a new exciting challenge. He loves to deal with people at the Shipyards and with yacht Owners, who find in him a great ability to fulfill their dreams, being him a keen observer of the Client’s needs. The briefing with the Clients and the first preliminary concept play a crucial role in all the projects but it is even more important to find solutions that will work over time. To work closely with the Shipyard on a daily basis and take care of the Client became a calling card for his Studio, that has been working internationally with well-known Shipyards such as Benetti, Cantieri di Pisa, Mondo Marine, Tecnomar, Admiral, ISA, Mariotti. Luca Dini Design is synonymous with research, perfectionism and a constantly striking but sophisticated flavor. Today the Studio is not only involved with design and construction of various yachts and the major refittings of two yachts over 60 meters, but also extends its attention to the mainland. In this regard he says: “Palaces, luxury villas and large private residences are our new professional challenge. When you’re designing a house the structural project is very different from what we usually do with yachts but my collaborators are such versatile professionals who are able to offer a high level of excellence no matter what is the subject of their work”. In the latest years, Luca Dini has been assiduously devoted to experiments with cutting edge technology, new materials and forms, sometimes using evocative images as an inspiration. He finds experimentation and endless will to learn more are crucial, especially if you live in a city like Florence.
