Dixon Yacht Design is one of the world’s leading yacht design teams. Headed by Bill Dixon whose remarkable career has taken him from forming his own company designing production motor and sailing yachts when only in his early twenties to its current preeminent position thirty plus years later where he is now among the world’s leading Superyacht designers. The highly experienced Dixon team, relish the new challenge that each Superyacht contract brings them; challenges significantly different from those designing production boats. A Superyacht is a very personal vessel says Dixon. It is essential that the yachts design completely satisfies the specific requirements of the owner. This is achieved by working very closely with the owner from day one so they understand his or hers thoughts exactly. Additional help can often come from the owner’s representatives; like the highly professional team at Peter Insull’s, or from the owners Skipper, particularly if he has been with the owner for some time.
